The company’s heritage started in 1950 as a supplier of wood veneer strips. In 1977 Woodtape company was acquired by Canada Woodtape. In 1982 Canada Woodtape included Thin PVC Edgebanding to its product offering through the acquisition of Kwik Edge. In 1989 Doellken, Germany and Canada Woodtape formed a joint venture to produce Thick PVC Edgebanding for the North American furniture markets. In 2001 Doellken acquired all assets of Canada and US Woodtape and formed Doellken-Woodtape. Today Doellken-Woodtape is one of the leading suppliers of PVC, ABS and 3D Edgebanding as well as DORUS Adhesive products to the North American woodworking industry.
