ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE EDGEBANDING
More and more furniture manufacturers are sourcing for ‘Green’ materials that are environmentally responsible, competitively priced and perform well. Doellken- Woodtape, a leading supplier of Polymer Edgebanding is now offering ABS Edgebanding and 3D Edgebanding as chlorine-free alternatives to PVC Edgebanding. ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene) is a high-quality polymer that has been used in the production of Edgebanding for the furniture industry in Europe for over 15 years. The excellent application, processing and disposal characteristics of ABS have contributed to its widespread acceptance in the furniture industry. In addition to ABS Edgebanding Doellken-Woodtape offers 3D Edgebanding (acrylic), a second chlorine-free polymer that can be incinerated with general waste, reducing the amount that goes to landfill.
